The Discord bot supports your community with real-time answers from your documentation. It uses your knowledge base to search your docs and provide accurate, cited responses.

Prerequisites

Before installing the Discord bot, make sure you have created a Knowledge Base for your documentation.

Install the Discord Bot

You must have the “Manage Server” permission in Discord to add the bot.

  1. Navigate to the Integrations tab in your dashboard.
  2. Click on the Discord integration link to install the bot.
  3. In Discord, select the server you want to add the bot to.
  4. Authorize the bot to access your server.

Bot Commands

The Discord bot supports the following commands:

/help

Displays help information about the bot and its available commands.

/ask

Query your documentation using natural language. The bot will search through your knowledge base and respond with the relevant answer along with references to the source documentation.

Usage: /ask <your question>

Example: /ask How do I configure authentication?

The bot will return an answer based on your documentation content and include links to the relevant pages for further reading.
